|| Statement: The Presidential Media Office of the Syrian Arab Republic ||

The Presidential Media Office of the Syrian Arab Republic finds it rather strange that the Ambassador of the United States, Robert Ford, is adopting false media reports that are not based on valid grounds. Moreover, Ford is basing his analysis on these reports thus coming up with results that are disconnected from reality.
This is exactly what Mr. Ford, the ex-ambassador of the United States to Damascus, did when he gave a statement to the Middle East Newspaper. Yet again we confirm that all what Mr. Ford mentioned about Mrs. Anissah Makhlouf 's departure from Syria is utterly false.
The office also calls on all diplomats and journalists to be accurate and act professionally when conveying information.
